Community Outreach

By partnering with organizations that have established trust and connections among the underserved families in our community, we leverage our student loan and college financing expertise to help those who need it most.

By Degrees Foundation Des Moines

We partner with this organization each year to bring college planning and financial literacy information to students attending the Dreamer Academy at Findley Elementary and attending Harding Middle School. The program helps disadvantaged families begin to imagine the possibilities of college — a dream that otherwise can seem out of reach. Parents who attend the free seminars related to planning and paying for college also receive a college savings plan deposit for each of their Dreamer students.

UI Reach

Our annual scholarship donation to the University of Iowa Realizing Educational and Career Hopes Program helps one or more Iowa students who otherwise would not have the financial resources benefit from this two-year transitional certificate program for students with multiple intellectual, cognitive and learning disabilities.

This year's scholarship recipients were Iowa residents Griffin R. and Connor M.

ISU 4U Promise

The ISU 4U Promise Community Alliance, of which we are a member, helps community organizations, agencies and businesses maintain a pathway for high-need youths attending two Des Moines elementary schools to attend Iowa State University.

Lennetta Scott receives congratulations from the ISU 4U Promise Community Alliance members.

Employee Initiatives

We provide our employees paid time off to volunteer within their communities. Employees may choose to give back by volunteering at a school activity or 501(c)(3) charitable organization during workday hours.
